I am not entirely sure what I want to do for my capstone project, but I do have a couple ideas I may need help facilitating.
First,
I am very interested in sports writing and broadcasting, I am the sports editor for the Dixie Sun and I have participated in the news show as well, I'm not really sure what I could do for this, but I'm hoping to brainstorm.
Second,
I want to conduct a study about viral messages/campaigns, I hope to study how viral messages become viral, set up my own either campaign or something on social media and see if I can get to the point of viral. This would be a media project, and my audience would be the entire internet population.
I know there would be a lot of analytic's in this study, about viral videos and if they can be engineered or controlled or simply just become viral by luck. I want to know what impacts a viral campaign can have, either positive or negative, and whether or not too much attention can cause it to go out of control if it is for a good cause.
